It was nothing short of a Bronx Bombers slugfest in Baltimore on Wednesday night. The New York Yankees are back!
The entire game, the Yanks drove in run after run and made play after play. Perhaps their most impressive display all year, this 7-0 win gives The Bronx faithful something to cheer and be excited about as we advance. DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Judge (although he didn’t play Wednesday), and the rest of the pinstripes seem to be hitting their strides finally.
Domingo German threw a gem, going seven innings and allowing just three hits. He had six strikeouts and allowed no walks and no runs. Michael King came in to relieve German and finished the game for the Yanks, going two innings and striking out two batters.
A huge step in the right direction turns into a potential leap for Aaron Boone’s Yankees on Thursday in Baltimore. The Yanks and O’s face off in the series finally, with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 PM Eastern Time.
