Nebraska DB Myles Farmer Quotes 9/5/22

Myles Farmer
Nebraska Defensive Back
Pre-Georgia Southern
Press Conference

On the key from North Dakota
“Fix our mistakes from the previous win. The mistakes we made in the game just try to make no mistakes. Try not to come out to the next game and make the same mistakes.”

On Georgia Southern
“I know a couple guys on the team. Georgia Southern is pretty good. We are going to take them as another Big Ten opponent.”

On growing up in Georgia
“(Georgia Southern) came to my high school a lot. They came to watch me practice a lot.”

On giving FCS teams (North Dakota) full attention
“I look at it as they are trying to beat us, so I am not going to take them lightly. That is how the DB room approaches each team, each opponent.”

On more ones vs. ones at practice
“That is very beneficial. We get real live game looks from great players. We have great receivers. We have a great quarterback that knows how to read defenses as he just explained to you all. It helps it helps a lot.”

On new players blending in with the team
“Those guys, they came in and they bought into what we were doing. We took them in as brothers and we just showed them the way. All the new guys the defense line the linebackers the DBs everybody is bought in. It is like a brotherhood. Everybody is on point. Everybody is doing what they need to do.”

On how a game tests in a way that practice can’t
“A game tests it it really tests it. In a game you see that practice is nothing like the game. That is why we do what we do at practice why we go so hard in practice to make the game easy.”

On Farmer’s role on the secondary this season
“I would not say I adjusted. I would say I have been prepped for it. Having Marquel (Dismuke) and Deontai (Williams) showed me the way. It really helped. Last year they were out there moving me around and not I am out there moving guys around getting them lined up and stuff. It has helped a lot. It feels just like practice. It feels normal to me now.”

On the pride Farmer takes in his role
“I take a lot of pride in it because at the end of the day we are on live TV. You do not want to go out there and be embarrassed so we take a lot of pride in that and coach harps on that like you are playing for your last name on your jersey so I take a lot of pride in that.”
