The Giants 4-game win streak has come to an end.
As it seems the Giants were coming into their matchup with the Cardinals red-hot after their upset victory over the Seahawks last week, expectations were high for the Giants to have a big game yet again this week. A 26-7 defeat was not what they had in mind, especially with the return of Daniel Jones to action after missing time due to a hamstring injury. Jones would have a less than exciting return, going 11/21 with 127 yards. Jones received no assistance from the ground game either, as running back Wayne Gallman would rush 12 times for just 57 yards. Not a surprise here, but the Giants offense struggled, yet again. Granted, its not all Jones’ fault, with the lack of talent around him at receiving, it would be foolish to blame everything on him. The absence of Saquon Barkley does not help anyone either. The Giants defense struggled too, letting a combined total of 390 yards and two touchdowns past them both on the ground and in the air.
It was only a matter of time before the Giants were cooled down, but I think Giants fans alike could all agree that seeing the big blue win out the season would have been a great thing to see. The Giant will have all week to shake this loss off as they prepare for their Week 15 matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
