Ryan Pulock always had high promise for the Islanders, dating back to the days of the old regime of Garth Snow and Jack Capuano. Widely known before his NHL days for his cannon slapshot, the 15th overall pick in the 2013 draft has been making a clear-cut case to be a top four defensemen for the club for a very, very long time. Tying his career high in goals this season, Pulock showed his worth as an offensive defensemen with 10 goals and 25 helpers, giving him a solid 35 point campaign in 68 games played. Averaging just over half a point per game for a defenseman is a great thing for ny club within the NHL, or really any league to have, so it should be a major key for general manager Lou Lamoriello to keep Pulock on the Island, seeing that Pulock will become an RFA this offseason. With the high likelihood that he stays put, Islanders fans would be able to continue seeing Pulock as a fan favorite for a long time.
