This was a rough year for Casey Cizikas. After recording a career high 20 goals in the 2018-2019 season, he barely broke the 10 goal mark for this year. Not being entirely his fault though, as he battled numerous injuries through the season. One being a skate laceration, which kept him out of action for almost 4 weeks. He also sustained a still-undisclosed injury in the Edmonton bubble that required a surgery. Despite that, Cizikas is expected to be ready for training camp. But as we all know, Zeeker is not here for his scoring ability. He’s here for some in your face hockey, and he nearly has perfected it. With some of the best corner hockey the Islanders have seen in some time, Cizikas isn’t afraid to get dirty and deal some damage along the boards either. With the help of his linemates Matt Martin and Cal Clutterbuck, regarded as the MC2 line, they are a dominant force which each of the three players constantly is making the other two better. Theres nothing to predict for Cizikas next season as you already know what you’re getting with him. All you can hope for is his existing injury to not be too serious and it does not hold him back from playing his game. Zeeker gets a high grade for his dedicated play on the ice.
